So much going on right now- The leaves are changing and despite the rain today it has been great weather! SIU’s homecoming weekend starts this Fridayand the house is packed with SIU Alumni. This weekend the Saluki’s are playing rivals ISU, should be a good game filled with lots of tailgating beforehand! We are also gearing up for Vulture Fest next weekend held at the Makanda Boardwalk. We are expecting over 2000 people with about 40 art vendors, 4 food vendors and over a dozen bands playing on tow different venues throughout the weekend. this year is the ten year anniversary so we are set up a Silent Auction featuring items such as night stays at Skyline View, here at the Makanda Inn, Blue Sky Winery, and various restaurants throughout Carbondale. Handmade apparel from Dayshift, Mushroom Kit from Joe Mcfarland, Woodwork from Kinser Woodworks, furniture from Nature’s Creations, Sculptor from Lacey Pipher and accommodations on FT MYERS BEACH! Proceeds will benefit Free Again Inc a wildlife rehab center. Hope to see you there!
